Our Free Medical Clinic is open again with special COVID procedures. Patients will park in front of the building and someone will come out to talk to them. We will ask intake questions at the car. Masks are required to enter the building; we have a limited supply of masks available for patients who come without a mask. Patients are asked to come alone, except when a helper is needed (an interpreter, an adult bringing a minor, etc.). The clinic is walk-in, no appointment necessary. Our clinic is open every Monday night, 5:30-7:30, except on holidays (such as Labor Day) and weather closures.
****Regular, Non-Pandemic Service Information****
The Free Medical Clinic is open every Monday night (unless a major holiday falls on Monday). Patient registration begins at 5:00 PM and patients can be seen from 5:30 to 7:30. The last patient registration is at 7:00.
The Clinic is intended to serve people who otherwise lack access to affordable medical care. It is not intended to replace regular health care services for patients who have access to care.
Clive Community Services Free Clinic opened its doors in the summer of 2017. Our clinic is a member of the Free Clinics of Iowa Network. Clive Community Services Free Clinic offers basic healthcare through volunteer physicians, nurses and other health professionals at no cost to patients.
In addition to basic care, the Clinic will host seasonally appropriate events such as vaccinations, a Sports Physical event and Flu Shot Clinics. Special events such as a Mobile Dental Clinic and vision screenings will be offered as available.
Volunteer physicians and nurses are needed. Insurance for medical professionals is offered through the Volunteer Health Care Provider Program which offers indemnification to free clinics and its volunteer health care providers through the State of Iowa.
