Communications Volunteer:

We are seeking a detail-oriented volunteer with WordPress knowledge and social media savvy to keep our web site up to date, craft regular social media messages, and create a monthly email newsletter.

Fundraising Committee Chair:

Our fundraising committee is seeking a new committee chair to lead us in brainstorming, planning, and implementing fundraising ideas.

Grant Writing Assistants:

We are seeking assistants for our grant writing committee. Work with Grant Committee chairperson to write grant proposals, research grant opportunities, and/or edit proposals for other committee members.

Free Clinic:

Volunteer Physicians, PAs, and ARNPs are needed. Volunteer Health Care Provider Program offers indemnification to free clinics and its volunteer health care providers through the State of Iowa. Learn more at http://idph.iowa.gov/ohds/iowa-health-workforce/vhcpp.

Food Pantry:

During pantry hours, volunteers act as receptionist, client shopping assistants, clothes closet monitors, and client intake workers (who receive training from DMARC). Pantry volunteers work shifts Monday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Friday 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (please plan to arrive about 10 minutes early and stay about 10-15 minutes after for cleanup).
